We made this simple recipe because we wanted to show how incredibly easy smoothies are to make. In addition to increasing the nutrient intake and hydration of the body, they can also help to keep things cool during the summer season. Our recipe features seasonal fruits with the option of adding our famous Silkeny Gourmet Granola topping, for extra protein and fibre.
2 ripe nectarines, pitted and sliced
1 cup frozen strawberries
3 frozen bananas, pre-peeled
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups of water
1–2 tbsp Silkeny coconut oil
Add all the ingredients (except for the coconut oil) into the blender and pulverize until smooth. Add the coconut oil and briefly blend, to prevent separation within the smoothie.
If you like a good crunch and want to make your smoothie more of a meal, add a few handfuls of our Silkeny Gourmet Granola as a topping. Enjoy in your favourite cup!
